How do I get started with //JON LOVES DOGS?
Getting started is simple! Just apply to Become a Client via our web application. All prospective new clients get a free 30 minute virtual consultation to discuss your pet's specific needs and answer any questions.
Following the call, we’ll schedule an in-person Behavioral Assessment where we meet you and your furry family members face-to-face, demonstrate our Fear Free® techniques in real-time, and get you onboarded into our Time To Pet™ client portal for quick and easy visit booking.

What is Fear Free® pet care?
Fear Free® handling is a science-based approach focused on reducing fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS) in pets.
Instead of forcing compliance or rushing, we use gentle, consent-based interactions, positive reinforcement, and environmental management to ensure your dog or cat feels safe, comfortable, and emotionally secure in our care.

Are you licensed, insured, and bonded?
Yes, fully.
Jon Loves Dogs LLC is a New Jersey state-licensed, fully insured, and bonded pet care company. We carry corporate-grade liability protection from nationwide pet care insurer Business Insurers of the Carolinas to guarantee peace of mind for your home and your pets.

Do you offer traditional pack walks or individual dog walking?
We exclusively offer individual, one-on-one walks—never large group or pack walks.
Every dog is unique, with their own personality, pace, and passions. By giving your dog our undivided attention, our certified sitters build a deep, trusting one-on-one relationship and tailor every visit to what your dog loves most.
Whether that’s a fast-paced fitness walk, a leisurely "sniffari" sensory expedition, or extra playtime with their favorite toy, we customize the experience every single time out.
Plus, single-dog care completely eliminates the safety risks, stress, and overstimulation common in large pack walking setups.

We do not have any breed or size restrictions.
We firmly advocate for every dog’s right to a safe, fulfilling, and enriched life. Whether you have a tiny rescue or a giant purebred, our Fear Free® trained sitters are experienced and equipped to handle dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments.

Our team is trained in administering oral, topical, and subcutaneous medications safely and gently. Thanks to our Pet First Aid/CPR background and Fear Free® handling, we minimize stress during health routines.
