About Me

I grew up in a house full of dogs and have never been able to bear life without them.

If you’re here, I’m guessing you get it. Dogs aren’t just pets—they’re family, mood boosters, walking partners, and a reason to smile every single day. And when life’s thrown me curveballs, I’ve always turned back to them. During the pandemic, I became a professional pet groomer. Today, I’m a regular volunteer at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ. Dogs have always been my fallback—and my first love.

But my “real job”? For 15 years, I led teams in the corporate healthcare world, most recently managing the entire Northeast from DC to Boston, with 13 professionals reporting directly to me. I had the salary, the benefits, the corner office… and the constant sense that something was missing. I spent too many hours in airports and hotel lobbies dreaming about getting back to working with animals.

In late 2024, corporate downsizing made that decision for me. I could’ve jumped right back into another leadership role. But instead, I chose something bolder—something that had been gnawing at me for years: building a professional, client-first pet care business that brings together my leadership experience and my lifelong passion for animals.

About Me

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my home was never without a dog, cat, or some furry friend keeping me company—and caring for them quickly became second nature.

After spending a few years at the University of Connecticut studying Nutritional Sciences, I realized my true passion wasn’t in the lab—it was in working hands-on with animals. I took the leap, drawing on my experience in dog walking and pet sitting to enter the world of dog daycare and boarding. From there, my career in pet care took off.

Nearly twenty years later, I’ve built a deep well of experience that includes over sixteen years of dog walking and personal pet sitting, six years in the daycare and boarding industry, and more than three years as a certified dog trainer. I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs of every size, breed, and personality—and helping each one feel safe, confident, and loved.

When I’m not surrounded by animals, you can usually find me outside soaking up the fresh air, or in full recharge mode at home—binge-watching Netflix with my own pets curled up beside me.

About Me

I’ve always believed dogs bring out the best in people—and I try to return the favor every day.

Rain or shine, I’m out there walking, playing, and making tails wag. But for me, dog walking isn’t just about getting steps in—it’s about connection. Every pup has their own rhythm, their own quirks, and their own way of showing trust. I take pride in learning those details and making each walk feel personal, safe, and fun.

Before joining //JON LOVES DOGS, I worked as a pet handler at a local doggy day care, where I cared for dogs of every size, temperament, and energy level. It taught me how to read canine body language, manage group dynamics, and stay calm under pressure—skills I bring to every walk and every pup I meet.

This isn’t just a job to me. It’s a way to give dogs joy, give pet parents peace of mind, and be part of something that actually makes a difference every single day.

About Me

In March 2024, my life changed when I adopted my beagle, Hazel, at just eight weeks old.

I’d always wanted a dog, but never pictured myself raising a puppy—until I saw her photo from a family friend who was fostering her. Before I knew it, Hazel was home, and I was getting a crash course in all things puppy.

That June, I was laid off from my corporate fashion job. Losing that role could’ve been devastating, but Hazel gave me purpose when I needed it most. We started obedience classes together, and before long she was excelling—taking advanced courses, doing scent work, and even competing in trials.

Inspired by how much she’d taught me, I began fostering with Cold Nose Warm Heart Animal Rescue in early 2025. Since then, I’ve helped dogs of all ages and temperaments—from shy, fearful rescues to energetic pups—build confidence and find their forever homes.

Between Hazel and fostering, I realized I didn’t want to return to corporate life. I wanted a career built around compassion and connection. That path led me to //JON LOVES DOGS—and now, I get to spend my days caring for animals and giving them the same love and attention I give my own.
