There’s no app notification or spreadsheet that can touch this feeling. This is the part of the job you can’t teach — the moment when a dog decides you’re one of the pack.

I get to do this for a living. That still blows my mind. I run //JON LOVES DOGS, and yeah, we walk, feed, and care for pets — but really, we build trust. We earn tail wags and soft eyes and those quiet little moments where an animal says, “You’re safe.”

That’s the work. That’s the mission. That’s why I love my job.
