And the bar doesn’t drop once they’re hired. Every Junior Pet Sitter logs over 100 hours of training—including hands-on shadowing with a mentor and passing our internal field evaluations.

Every Sitter starts with 100+ hours of hands-on training in dog walking and drop-ins. This isn’t gig work—it’s a career path.
​
At 1,000 hours, they can qualify for Senior status by passing a written test and field evaluation. Nail both, and we cover their Red Cross or LECA First Aid & CPR certification. Only then are they cleared for overnights and 24/7 live-in care.
​
At 3,000 hours? Master Pet Sitter status. That means passing our toughest test: a surprise, mid-shift field exam judged silently by a senior team member. If they pass, they earn elite status, higher pay, and we pay for advanced certs like Fear Free™ and PSI’s CPPS. Then they pay it forward by mentoring up-and-coming Seniors.
